OUR PHILOSOPHY:
The faculty of Sacred Heart College of Nursing Aims at “Knowledge, Compassion and Service”. We, inspired by the life and teaching of Jesus, believe that our services to the human must be based on knowledge and compassion. The college believes that the nurses in leadership positions both in education and service must be well qualified to shoulder responsibilities in the fast-advancing health care system. Nursing education should fit into the changing educational system of the country while keeping the element of healing touch and professional care. Nursing education should lead to professional, personal, moral, spiritual and social development of the individual. Nurses should be prepared to demonstrate advance competence in the practice of nursing.

It aims at creative learning, loyal to the society, god fearing with the sense of responsibility and concern for the fellow human being. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
Under the overall goals and aims of health care education of Society of Sacred Heart Sisters, the following are the main objectives of the graduate course in nursing. At the completion of the course the graduates are expected to: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to people in Hospital, Community and other health care settings. • Exhibit competency in nursing based on concepts and principles from selected areas of physical, biological and behavioral science. • Exhibit high moral and ethical standards in personal and professional life. • Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision-making abilities in various situations. • Utilize the latest trends and technology in providing health care.
