Sacred Heart Sisters
The Society of Sacred Heart Sisters had a very humble beginning in the Diocese of Ujjain in the year 1969. The need for dispensing medical and nursing care to the ailing poor suffering from various diseases had been realized by the Sacred Heart Sisters as the prime need in this part of the country. Considering the increased number of patients and the need of trained and dedicated nurses in India, Sacred Heart Sisters of Christu Jyoti Province, Ujjain took up the challenge by establishing the School of Nursing in 2008 and College of Nursing in 2020 in the Diocese of Ujjain to prepare qualified nurses to assume responsibility for care of the patient at hospital and community level.
